FREE Art Workshop for Kids!

Gyotaku is a form of "nature printing" that began in Japan in the 1800's. Japanese fishermen would record the fish they caught by covering the fish in ink and then placing paper on top of it. When the paper is pulled away, a fish print is revealed! Our FREE kids’ workshop on gyotaku will be Saturday, July 30th at the Modernism Museum Mount Dora. We’ll be using rubber fish replicas and paint to make our fish prints, so bring your own smock! This is a FREE workshop but space is limited. Please visit www.modernismmuseum.org/events for more information or call (352) 385-0034 to reserve your child’s seat.
