Discover the advantages of combining your auto and home insurance policies.

If you haven’t recently explored combining your home and auto insurance policies with a single company, it might be worth investigating this option. Besides the convenience of working with just a single company, there could be financial benefits as well. You’ll likely get a multi-policy discount, which means you’d pay lower premiums for each policy. What’s more, you might be able to pay just one deductible (the higher of the two) when you need to make a claim against both policies from a single incident.

For example, say a fire damages your garage and two cars that were parked in it. If the same company insures your house and both cars, you might be able to pay just one deductible instead of three.

Ask your insurance agent about the discounts and benefits available to you by having multiple policies with a single insurer. And while you’re at it, ask if there are additional discounts if you add life insurance as well.
