Be Warned! AAA Insurance Issue

AAA Insurance does not offer any kind of automatic monthly  payment deduction plan using your credit card or bank account . You either have to mail a check or phone an automated system that takes almost 10 minutes to complete. That may sound petty, but if you are late paying for whatever reason more than twice in 1 year they immediately cancel your policy (s) without any recourse!  You'd think they'd at the very least cut you some slack since they don't offer automatic payment alternatives. You could be dying somewhere, but oops sorry you're 2 weeks late, see ya... Also AAA customer service will suddenly became non-existent as soon as you ask to speak to someone in authority.

 

So be warned if you travel a lot make sure someone picks up your snail mail, writes a check and mails it within 2 weeks or WHAM your policy is cancelled! 

 

FYI your problems are just beginning, because other insurance companies take a dim view of an application if a previous insurance policy is cancelled for whatever reason. This gives them the opportunity to almost double the premium for a new auto and home policy.

AAA Insurance Agency does not have an automated payment system-some of our companies offer this option and process is quick and easy. We work with several insurance companies who offer automatic recurring payments via checking account or credit card. A form may be required to set up automatic payments. Automatic payments can be set up by contacting Customer Service at 1-800-891-4222: Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Companies have different guidelines regarding their payment requirements but none that should cancel a policy for being late twice. Companies may require the policy to be paid in-full due to payment history, but should not simply cancel policy without warning the insured as required by the State.

why don't you offer insurance on my RV  so that I can  use a "Storage " rate when I am not on the road. . This is at time several months at a time.

When I removed a broken truck from a  policy ,( a $ 1550. Repair would have to wait ) I called got a quote of the new payment , ( having more then one car ) went to Pines office , an agent called insurance company confirming it prior to excepting payment and giving me a receipt . I ended up with a notice of cancellation without explanation  , I called and found out the payment was not enough . that day I also found out that NO ONE CARES !!!!!!!  I was so outraged and left feeling ripped off  after a run around . I pay more with another company  ( that has road service )  The way I was treated , I can't be the only one whom feels this way ...  If I had ben treated as a valued customer instead of an *** and not made to believe that the company is too big to care , I would still be with AAA insurance and not letting my road service membership go at the end of it's term ,  have been with AAA from 1986 .You may want to devise a way to follow up  with and address the concerns of your people that receive a notice of cancellation , there is a reason and most ( in my opinion ) would stay with  and as I have in the pass, given referrals .
