I noticed a recent thread that was discussing a mobile App for AAA (specificially I-phone). Just thought I would add this to the Ideas platform, so members could vote on it.
My suggestion is that the mobile interaction not be limited to just an I-phone, but all mobile devices that members could be traveling with as well.
I think AAA should send Going Places magazine to doctor's offices so patients can learn about the benefits of AAA. This could greatly increase AAA's membership. Think about how many prospects AAA could reach by just 1 issue in a doctor's office! AAA isn't just roadside assistance!
The AAA magazine seems to be heavily devoted to Cruise travel. I am someone who has absolutely no desire to take a cruise. I would appreciate more articles devoted to road travel to visit places within the AAA Club South area.
I just learned about earning rewards when I shop online via AAA.com. Looking through all the online stores you offer, I found a bunch I shop at, but I'd love it if you could add a couple of learning/science partners for the holidays? Two of my favorites are Nat'l Geographics... shop.nationalgeographic.com. They have really cool stuff...and another one for science is discoverystore.com. I always end up buy a bunch of stuff for family members that has a learning angle to it...getting some AAA Dollar Rewards for doing it would be cool!
I wish AAA would come up with a 10$ under 10 miles & 5$ under 5 miles discount cab service for its members. This would be for a cab ride from a bar to there home only! As a designated driver program, it could save a lot of lives...
My family are going on vacation in May and plan to take our small active and happy dog. I have spent many hours looking for pet friendly accomodations that allow you to leave your unattended pet in the room for awhile and not add additional charge, a doggy day care that lets your pet interact with other dogs throughout the day (and not charge an arm and leg), restaurants that are pet friendly as long as you and your pet eat outside. I found these by using many, many, search engines and it was worth it. I think it would be great if AAA had the availability for the members to have one place to search instead.
We have been AAA members for 20+ years and our parents have been members for 50 years and we LOVE AAA. One thing that I would like to see is ability to share service call quotas amongst ourselves, even if the other card member isn't present. I understand the policy of having a card member present at the call (preventing use by non-members), but if we're all on the same account, paying with the same card, wouldn't it make sense to allow me to share my unused quota with, say, my daughter, whose car is more prone to needing service calls? To insist on me being present when her car needs a jump or tow, seems a bit rigid and not very AAA like, in my opinion. I think reasonable folks would agree. I propose a policy change. Thanks so much for your consideration!
I'm just thinking about picking my jaw up off the floor here shortly as it fell there upon seeing the prices & "discounts" we are offered via Hertz for car rental. The price I was quoted with the AAA member discount was TWICE as much as other car rental agencies WITHOUT getting a discount. Does this make any sense to anyone because, for the life of me, I cannot find the logic. I have had great customer service from at least 3 other rental agencies in the past so I'm really not willing to hear that its the service. Even if it were, I would take a 50% cost reduction in exchange for no one smiling at me or buttering me up at all. The cars they rent are the same cars, no better, no worse. So, I give - what is it that makes them worth TWICE the cost? Furthermore, can AAA not partner with a more reasonably priced rental agency for us??
AAA is one of the premier travel services, perhaps the largest and best known. AAA also stresses and excells at service to members. It would seem, therefore, that a credit card bearing the AAA logo would emphasize features with the traveller in mind. However, at least on my card, there is a 2% foreign transaction fee. This adds up pretty fast and is not on all credit cards. AAA should look to an agreement eliminating foreign transaction fees and making sure that their sponsored cards are geared as much as possible to the traveller/consumer. Thank you.
Have an App on the website that allows each user to input which destinations he or she has been to and for what purpose (business, pleasure, family, etc) Then use that information to improve that user's interest profile when they make use of the Suggested trips application from the website.
It would be great if members could check the AAA website to determine which restaurants offer discounts in their geographical area.
Why can't the branch offices have an ongoing service for members that would allow them to drop off secure shred items in a designated bin when they are in the area? Or, at least offer this as an event every few months, if possible. This would benefit me greatly and I am sure I am not the only member who would appreciate the service.
In this day and time many tickets for events can be purchased electronically. This is a sure way to verify accuracy and cut down on fraud. I had a recent experience when I attempted to purchase tickets online via AAA website to no avail. I called the local branch who verified I could not make an online ticket purchase for that particular event. I drove approx 25 miles and purchased the tickets from the office. I went away for Christmas and afterward I could not locate the paper tickets. I called AAA to reprint the tickets for me. To my surprise, AAA does not have a system in place to reprint tickets. However they could see clearly that I purchased to tics and they had not been used. Please upgrade your ticketing system, so this does not happen to others.(SABO is one ticketing system to consider). I don't have a problem paying a reasonable reprint fee, but to pay full price is absolutely ridiculous.
Recently moved to east Tennessee and very disappointed that AAA didn't list discounts for many of the great entertainment, family recreations, shops and restaurants in the state. There are so many things to do in the area and I am sure your Tennessee members would be quick to respond and be very appreciative. Just the town of Jonesborough which is the oldest town in Tennessee, has many things in the area including the Story Telling Center, that attracts thousands of visitors a year There is rafting, kayaking, hiking, camping and the historic locations in the area are endless. From our home we can be in Asheville, Nc, Gatlinburg, Tn, Bristol Motor Speedway, numerous ski resorts in about an hour.. Also don't forget North Carolina. We live less than 45 min from some great attractions in N.C. Also. Are there any plans to add additional partners in this area? Have been a member since 1984 and we really appreciate the security that AAA gives us 24 /7.
Hi, my name is Jerry Lopez. I am an ASE master Tech, and recently published Driver Tips. This book is not a "do-it yourself" guide. I wrote it to build trust between repair shops and customers. The book is available through barnesandnoble.com and amazon.com, however, I would love to personally send you a copy. If this is possible, where could I send it? I would be honored if AAA, a company I highly respect, would recommend my book to new drivers or customers, or use it as a giveaway gift to your customers.
AAA should consider providing a brain-sharpening software to improve driving. USAA gives its members access to free software to improve brain function for optimal driving. Drivesharp’s two interactive, video game-style exercises have been proven to improve the brain physically and functionally and, along with it, improve driving skills. These fun-to-use brain games give you: Improved field of vision, Faster reflexes, Improved brain speed and cognitive ability.
They do not monitor members’ use of the Drivesharp program; Drivesharp has no influence on insurance policy or premiums. The goal is to protect the members.
