Jazz in July Fundraiser for the 2015 Tampa Bay Theatre Festival


TAMPA, FL – (June 3, 2015):  The Tampa Bay Theatre Festival (TBTF) in conjunction with Tash Johnson& Co. will be holding a fundraising event, Jazz in July on Friday, July 3, 2015 at the Crowne Plaza Tampa Westshore Hotel, 5303 W. Kennedy Blvd., Tampa 33609. The event will begin at 8pm until midnight, and will include a live jazz band, drink specials and other entertainment inside the Crowne Plaza’s Mojito Restaurant and Lounge. Proceeds from the event will support the 2nd annual Tampa Bay Theatre Festival. The TBTF committee is very excited to team up with Tash Johnson & Co and Mojito Restaurant for what will be a fun night of entertainment and networking.  Advance tickets are $35 and can be purchased at www.tampabaytheatrefestival.. This event is open to the public, cocktail attire and must be 21 or up.


This year’s festival will be held September 4-6, 2015. Actor, Harry Lennix of NBC’s hit TV show The Blacklist, will be teaching an intensive master acting workshop during the festival. In addition to the workshop, his contemporary film adaptation of William Shakespeare’s play Henry IV, Part 1 & 2 called “H4” will be screened. The festival will be held inside the Straz Center, HCC Ybor Main stage, HCC Studio Theatre and Stageworks.


Rory Lawrence, founder of the TBTF said, “We are very happy that Harry Lennix accepted to be a part of the TBTF. Our attendees will get a chance to meet Lennix and learn some great acting essentials from him.” He further added, “We are getting a huge response already and Lennix is really excited to be a part of this event.”­
